Whipped Body Butter

I have been making my own homemade body butter for about two years and cannot imagine using store bought lotion ever again.  It is super easy, cheap and all natural which makes it amazing for the skin!  Check it out:

  • 1 cup organic shea butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons beeswax
  • 1/2 cup almond or grapeseed oil
  • vegetable glycerin (optional and only need 2 tsp or so)
  • 20 drops your favorite essential oils (I love frankincense, cypress, geranium, myrrh, lavender, patchouli,–all great for skin and cypress helps with pain!)

Place shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a pint size mason jar with a lid and submerge the jar into a simmering pot of water.  Once it is melted pour the contents into a medium size mixing bowl (handle the jar carefully as it will be very hot). Add the almond oil and vegetable glycerin.  Once it is hard, add the essential oils and use a basic kitchen hadn’t mixed to whip into an amazing fluffy butter.  Scoop into glass jars and enjoy!
